Blackberry ASY-02556-111 Docking Station combines Battery charging capability with Serial port Data connection in One unit!
Like a desktop battery charger, the docking station charges your phone battery when you attach your AC power supply (not included). Docking station will then charge your RIM/ Blackberry battery in about 3 hours.
But here's the big difference: Serial communication port in the base leads to a serial cable data connection, allowing you to synchronize contact lists with your computer and use your phone as a wireless modem while charging the battery.
