- Plug-N-Play: The Parrot PMK5800 Stereo Bluetooth car kit is a Plug-N-Play car kit, to facilitate easy, hands free cell phone conversations and music through your vehicle's FM stereo. By simply plugging this device into your 12 Volt DC cigarette lighter adapter, and setting the Parrot PMK5800 to an open FM frequency, it will transfer music or voice wirelessly through the speakers in your car.
- Calls & Stereo Music handling: Capable of delivering voice and music over the vehicle's speakers, the Parrot PMK5800 contains a high-quality FM stereo transmitter that faithfully retransmits calls and music to the car stereo, provided you have a Bluetooth A2DP profile enabled cell phone or MP3 player, and your car has an FM stereo radio. This Car kit is a pretty simple plug-and-play device. Getting its power from the vehicle's 12 Volt cigarette lighter jack, and it’s voice or music through Bluetooth, there are no wires or installation. Full duplex voice conversations sound natural through the car stereo without having to install any elaborate system in your car.
- Stereo music inputs: an included 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) Audio input cable supports iPod, Zune, mp3 players using the 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) stereo output on these devices. If your cell phone has the Bluetooth A2DP profile, voice or music comes through Bluetooth, without wires.
- Voice Recognition:
Unlike most plug-n-play hands free car kits, the Parrot PMK5800 uses its own voice recognition software. You can quickly and safely access your main contacts by saying their names (up to 150 contacts per phone).
- Automatic Tuning: The FM scale detector inside this portable car kit can sense when you tune your vehicle's FM stereo to the preset FM radio frequency, and automatically detect the change from listening, to a different station, or a CD, and connect you to your cell phone to automatically handle a call. Essentially, push your Stereo Pre-set button, and talk.
- DSP: The Parrot PMK5800 car kit features DSP software to eliminate echoing and background noise.
- Fully upgradeable software: Parrot car kits can be upgraded for DSP algorithms and upcoming Bluetooth cell phones, thus eliminating the need to change a hands free kit with a new cell phone purchase.
